About

I’m Omar, a software development student from the Netherlands.

My interest is in low-level work: filesystems, graphics, and anything that makes me dig into how things really work.

I started out building desktop apps in C#, then got into backend work during my internship at VWE. Since then most of my projects have been in Rust: a game engine, an ext4 driver for Windows, a gameplay capture tool. There’s some Go and Dart in there too.

I usually build things because I needed them and nothing else did the job. I care about code that’s easy to read and error messages that actually tell you what went wrong.
